A local company is expanding after following "signs" to success.

At VinylSignz Plus, signs are pointing toward success, for this company and its customers. In fact, president Trace George guarantees results.

VinylSignz Plus specializes in full vehicle wraps, Gerber vision: where the public sees your logo, but the driver doesn't or vinyl graphic lettering. The company handles more than 1,200 police cars a year. It takes just 45 minutes for workers to give cars a new look, that speed is known to play a trick or two on the cops.

“We came in overnight stripped cars and had new graphics on by morning. When the officers came in they thought they had brand new car to drive,” said Trace George.

Thanks to a contract that began with a trailer for a Nascar event. VinylSignz Plus is planning an expansion, which could double its workforce this summer.

George says his customers can do the same, if they take their moving billboards on the road. That's what led George to success. He started his business by parking a truck, covered with advertising, at Home Depot, hoping for a bite.

“I used to call that fishing. I used to fish every Monday for 8 weeks. I grossed about $58,000 in eight weeks.”

That was seven years ago. Since then VinylSignz Plus has expanded five times. Now like many dads, George is already teaching his son Trey, the art of fishing at a young age.
